Michigan Wins National Title!

Dusty May? More like Dusty April because this man is built for the big moments. Yes, he gets many resources, and yes they won with a lot of transfers, but you cannot deny how great of a coach Dusty May is. I seriously think that he will be an annual Sweet 16/Elite 8 at worst type of coach so long as he stays as Michigan.
As for the game itself, what a gritty win for the Wolverines. Danny Hurley said it himself, UConn had Michigan running the slow game they wanted, but it just wasn’t enough when it came down to the end. Michigan’s defense was like Alcatraz the entire tournament, suffocation inside and intense pressure outside with constant switching. I said it multiple times that Elliot Cadeau would make or break Michigan’s success in games, and he told everyone to shut the hell up and watch him take over as he secured the MOP award. This Michigan team was just so deep, it didn’t matter if someone had an off night because the slack would be picked up from another starter or a bench spark. We saw that perfectly in these final games with their best player, Yaxel Lendeborg, hurt with a ankle/calf injury and they were still finding ways to win.
Looking ahead to next year already, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Michigan make another deep tournament run. X-Factor Trey Mckinney is coming back for another year, along with LJ Cason. Not to mention 5 star PG recruit Brandon McCoy committed to the Wolverines during the Arizona game, so yeah this team will not be going anywhere anytime soon and I’m here with my popcorn waiting to watch Dusty continue to cook in Ann Arbor.
