Masters Picks: Bets I’m Rocking With At Augusta
By: Kicks
It’s the best major in all of golf; nothing is more soothing than the CBS masters chime with a pan over hole 13. At the same time, this is probably the most bet on golf event of the year, so here are some picks I’m personally taking to sweat out throughout the weekend. All the odds below are from DraftKings.
Outright Winners:
Bryson DeChambeau +1050
I took him last year, and I’m rocking with the same pick again. This man is due for a green jacket, and the signs are all there. I’m sure you’ve seen all this shit about how he fits the average winner age and all these other specific stats, but for me it’s about REDEMPTION. Bryson needs to play with conviction and consistency to finally shut all of these damn haters up, and no better player to lean into the spotlight than him.
Collin Morikawa +3100
If you’re looking for some longer odds, then look no further than Collin Morikawa. He’s never missed a cut and has finished top 5 twice. He’s got a win under his belt already this year and can always show up with his iron play.
Top Finish Parlays (Including Ties):
Parlay 1: +3200
Akshay Bhatia Top 20, Jon Rahm Top 5, Ludvig Aberg Top 10, Cam Young Top 20
Parlay 2: +1800
Robert MacIntyre Top 20, Matt Fitzpatrick Top 10, Jordan Spieth Top 20, Xander Schauffele Top 20
Parlay 3: +1400
Max Homa Top 20, Patrick Reed Top 10
Round 1 Props:
Bogey Free Round 1: Corey Conners +2100
I love the Conners play here, this isn’t about going nuclear, it’s about staying clean and that’s literally his whole game. Dude just stripes irons, hits greens, and doesn’t put himself in dumb spots where bogeys happen at Augusta. If he gets into a groove early, you’re just sitting there watching stress-free pars with a few birdies sprinkled in and that’s exactly how this hits.
Matchup (3 way) Akshay Bhatia vs Jake Knapp: Akshay Bhatia -102
I’m a big Akshay guy and I think Augusta is going to play well for the lefty. He’s been playing great this year with multiple top 10’s and a win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Jake Knapp has a swing that’s smooth as margarine, but I’m rocking with the broomstick putter in Akshay to keep consistent tomorrow.
Oddball Parlay:
+2600
Hideki Matsuyama Top Asian, Ludvig Aberg Top Nordic, Chris Gotterup Top 20, Akshay 3-way Round 1
I honestly saw the regional section on DraftKings and just started toying around, and I love the odds of Hideki and Ludvig to both outplay their fellow competitors from their respective regions. Sprinkled in Chris Gotterup to sneak into the top 20 and doubled down on my guy Akshay to bring these odds up to Hail Mary status.
