Buckle Up For a Weeks Worth of Action

By: Kicks

We finally made it through the doomed weekdays after getting 48 hours straight of college hoops to start the tournament. Well, you know what they say, the night is darkest just before dawn. Starting today we get MLB action to lead us into a great week for sports:

Wednesday 3/25: Yankees vs Giants MLB Opening Game

Thursday: 3/26: Sweet 16 & MLB Opening Day

Friday 3/27: Sweet 16

Saturday 3/28: Elite 8 & Adesanya Fight Night

Sunday 3/29: Elite 8

Next Weekend: Final 4 & NCAA Championship

Following Weekend: The Masters & UFC 327

The beauty of it is the balance. You’re not locked into one sport carrying everything like the dead zone of summer. Instead, it’s a full slate. You wake up, ease into it, maybe check a betting line or two with your coffee, then by the afternoon you’re fully dialed in. By night, you’re arguing with your boys over takes that felt obvious three hours ago but suddenly aren’t anymore.

This stretch of sports is exactly what we needed. Life after the first two rounds of the March Madness tournament always feels gloomy, nobody prepares you for the reality of work on Monday with no spread to sweat between a 14 vs 3 seed matchup at your desk. However, we have the opportunity to not only prepare, but to seize this moment as ball watchers. Clear the schedule a little, lean into the chaos, and enjoy the fact that for once, there’s almost too much to watch. This is one of those sports slates that we talk about on a snowy February day after the Super Bowl, saying to ourselves “it’s just around the corner”, well it is finally here. So get those early morning tee times in, shoot em straight, then plop down on your couch with a beer and relish in all the action.
